It was a scorching evening for Round 2 of the HRC Summer League, with temperatures high both on and off court.
Paul Grannon
looked to take full advantage of the newly white walls on Court 5, arriving in an all-white outfit in an apparent attempt to camouflage himself. Despite his efforts, he couldn't prevent me from taking all three points, giving captain Neil the perfect start to the evening.
Rob Powley
stepped in as a substitute against the ever-improving
Chris Moores.
Powley's trademark power proved decisive as he secured an impressive 3-1 victory.
Seb Gardiner
pulled a match back for the Stompers, but victories from
Lewis Clarke
and the Racketball Final Boss himself,
Neil Walker
, helped the Knockers take control of the fixture. Jersey boy
Nick Jones
picked up a valuable win for the Stompers, but it wasn't enough to prevent defeat. The Stompers faithful were restless at the end, chanting, "Where is Stapo?"

then produced a match full of movement, effort and determination, with Ben eventually edging a thrilling contest 3-2.
