Junior Section AGM Report – Season 2024
The Junior Section has continued to grow strongly throughout the 2024 season and remains one of the most important areas of development within the club. Friday evening junior sessions are now fully booked on a consistent basis, which is a fantastic position to be in and a clear sign that the programme is thriving.
This growth is a direct reflection of the commitment and quality of our coaching team.
A huge thank you must go to Dave Breen, Mike Hooper and Rob Wright, who give up their Friday evenings week in, week out to coach and support the juniors. Their energy, patience and dedication are the backbone of the programme.
We are also extremely grateful to our ever-reliable stand-in coach Brian Clarke, who steps in whenever needed and ensures sessions continue to run smoothly.
The juniors truly are the future of Heswall Rackets Club. The strength of this section will shape the club for the next 10–15 years, both competitively and socially.
We would encourage all members to support the junior programme wherever possible — whether that’s through encouragement, volunteering, attending events, or simply getting behind them as they develop their skills and confidence. The future of the club is on court every Friday evening — and it’s very bright.
